It is said, a simple act of kindness can change the reciever’s world completely. Naledi Spiders a softball team from Ga-Mashashane is a good example of that very notion, the team’s under 13 players whose been dominating their opponents in recent Capricorn District league first round games are celebrating  after Nine(9) U13 girls where selected in the provincial team for up coming Summer Games & five(5) U13 boys and four(4) U18 girls in school sports, which will be held in Johannesburg 10-15 December,  to add to this a kind hearted samaritans donated a brand new kit to the team.

Team manager Peter “Kelly” Sekhaolelo had this to say “we are immensely excited that the good Samaritan who is a local businessman came to our aid  with new gloves and gear. There was a lot of excitement from all players and parents for the team that produced endless list of players in LSA women’s teams.”

He feather stated that now the team is more than ready for Capricorn District league second round. Adding #Spiders don’t bite they poison.

The team was formed in 1998 as Monotwane Cannibals. Since it’s hamble beginning in the dusty fields of Monotwane has produced a list of players in the LSA women’s teams.

This includes Thandi Malebana and Johanna Matsimela who are playing for USSA, also in the list of their products are Thabo Komape and Ronnie Mokhonoana who play for Seshego Raiders and in Gauteng for Mamelodi Pittbulls are Brian Msawawa Gololo,Hendrick Mshikaro Shika ,& once their best pitchers Richard Nkhuna and Lucky ‘The Best’ Ramaoka.

The team’ s development structure is exceptional as they have all age groups included from U13-Majors both male and female teams.

The team’s U13 team, whose players have been preparing for the opportunity to make it into the provincial team, were determined to make a clear statement that they will not be denied any longer as they thrashed their arch rivals Wild Beasts 19-1 and swept through any opponents which stood in their path.

Team is now preparing for Capricorn District second round games and Mashashane Tournament in December. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
