Ex-Finance minister Nhlanhla Nene has finally found employment in the private sector after been sacked in government. He has been appointed a non-executive director at Allan Gray.
Allan Gray is an investment management firm in South Africa. The company confirmed in a statement on Monday that’s its shareholders approved his appointment to the boards of the holding and operating company, according to MoneyWeb.
“We are very happy to have someone of Mr Nene’s experience on our board, and we are grateful that he chose to accept the appointment. We are looking forward to his strategic and leadership contribution to the board,” said Ian Liddle, chairman of the board.
We would also recall that when Mr Nene was removed from the finance minister position, President Zuma mentioned the fact that he decided to remove Nene as minister of finance for deployment to another strategic and better position.
Where is that position now, lies, lies, lies!!! but we knew that anyway…
