We can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone. Life is not about what you gather but rather what you scatter. On Saturday we joined Sponsor An African Child (SAAC) breakfast drive. Over 120 homeless people were fed and clothed.
We witnessed people fighting over food and men fighting over sanitary towels. Yes , pads! The sad part is that our very own were part of these hobos. We asked a few of them why don’t they go home and how does it actually feel to live by the streets and we were shocked by their responses. Some of them came to Jozi to find jobs and would jump into employment opportunity and being able to take care of themselves without having to beg first. Some would indulge in the feeling of belonging to a family again, that is they wanna go back home.
